. Half teaspoon of cayenne pepper or red chili powder.
. A teaspoon of dhania powder ( coriander powder)
. A tablespoon of generally used flour or adds as needed.
. A teaspoon of jeera powder ( cumin powder)
. Half teaspoon of compressed pepper powder, black pepper or ¼ teaspoon of black pepper.
. Salt is needed. Oil for deep frying is also needed.

PUTTING THE INGREDIENTS TO WORK:

Soak The Chickpeas:

1) Wash one cup of chickpeas for some time in the water. Afterward, soak them in an adequate quantity of water overnight. Ensure they are well-drained.

2) Wash in running water and drain again.

Grinding The Falafel Mixture:

1) Add the rinsed falafel to a grinder jar, a good food processor, or a blender jar.
2) Include the herbs, spices, seasonings- ¼ teaspoon of sliced garlic, ¼ cup of sliced onions, 3 tablespoon of sliced parsley or coriander leaves, half teaspoon of red chill powder, a teaspoon of cumin powder, a teaspoon of coriander powder, ¼ teaspoon of black pepper and a tablespoon of generally used flour.
3) Also, include a half teaspoon of lemon juice as well as salt to taste.
4) Crush the mixture in little time intervals. Scrape the sides of the dough and return to the jar.
5) You should have a semi-rough mix. Ensure that it isn't over smooth or pasty and don't include water while grinding. If you can't grind without water, add 1 to 3 tablespoon of water.
6) Take the mixture of falafel in a bowl. Taste and include more salt or spices if needed. With the aid of a spoon, mix adequately.
7) You must realize that if the falafel mixture is too rough, you won't be able to shape them into balls properly. So ensure that it's semi-coarse.

Check The Oil Before Cooking:

1) The first thing to do is to test the falafel. Heat the oil for deep frying in a Kadai or a pan. Afterward, roll a small ball from the mixture and put in the oil.
2) If the falafel refuses to break, then you can go ahead with your frying. But if it breaks, include half to a tablespoon of all-purpose flour.
3) The temperature of the oil is critical, and thus if the oil is not adequately hot, the falafel can scatter.
4) Once you put the falafel into the oil, it should quickly rise to the top. If it does not, then the oil is not adequately hot. If the falafel rises quickly and starts browning fast, the oil is excessively hot.

Frying The Falafel:

. Make average sized balls from falafel mixture then put in medium hot oil. Ensure that you don't overcrowd the pan.
. When the base becomes lightly golden, slowly turn it over and fry the next side.
. Fry the falafel until they become golden and crisp.
. Drain the fried falafel with the aid of paper towel to discard unnecessary oil.
. Serve as a side snack alongside hummus or tahini dip. Falafel also tastes excellent with coriander chutney and even tomato ketchup.

NOTE:
To make a version free of gluten, utilize gram flour rather than all-purpose flour.
